If you were following along on our Instagram last weekend, you’ll have seen all the exciting new things we found at CHFA East! The Canadian Health Food Asssociation Show is one of our favourite days of the year. We meet new suppliers, try new products and, most importantly, take advantage of sales we can pass along to you!
This year, when I stopped by the Live Organic booth, I was blown away by the new cashew cheese. I asked Jennifer if it was one she’d created for the restaurant. She said no, it was just a product she loved and wanted to distribute. (Usually, they only distribute their own stuff.) It really is THAT. GOOD. So, when I put in the order that week, I added some of the cashew cheese to it.
Meet VegNature Cashew Cheese!
Created in la belle province in 2014, VegNature Cashew Cheeses (also known as “Vromages”) are delicious, made with great ingredients, and vegan-friendly. The texture is so like goat chevre, you may not even realize the difference!
We’ve got two flavours right now: Plain, and Nuts & Cranberries, but hopefully we can bring in more options in the months to come! In the meantime, try these flavours out:
- on crackers
- in sauces
- on pizzas
- in salads
- wherever you’d use chevre!
